Join Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County and sponsor Team Sinisi Real Estate Group on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at B-52 Brewery for the annual Miles For Meals 5K/10K event and enjoy a morning fun run through the surrounding neighborhoods. Walk, jog, run – it’s up to you! We’ve mapped out an awesome course that starts and ends at the brewery and our guides along the way will make sure you know where to go. Cross the finish line and celebrate!
This year, they have added a VIRTUAL race option while limiting capacity for on-site runners / walkers. Virtual participants walk or run a 5k or 10k course of their choice – a neighborhood, the park, through the woods, it’s up to you!
Registration
Participants registered for the in-person event receive THREE free B-52 craft beers (or lemonade) and get to take home a collectors pint glass along with an event shirt and finisher medal. Bring the whole gang! Everyone is welcome to enjoy breakfast and lunch from local food trucks.
Virtual participants receive an event shirt and finisher medal.

Space is limited, register now! T-shirts are adult unisex. Children 6 andamp; under are free (does not include a t-shirt or drink tickets). Registration is nonrefundable. However, if you find someone to take your place, please email sarah@mowmc.org with details.

Participants registered for the in-person and virtual race are encouraged to pick up their race packet before the race. In-person runners / walkers will receive their race day bib and event t-shirt. Virtual participants will receive their event t-shirt and finisher medal.

We encourage you to pick up for friends, family, or running buddies. Pick up will be available race day, but will be delayed due to social distancing.

Race andamp; Course Details
If you choose to run the B-52 course, this is an official, chip-timed race. Results will be available immediately following the race. Place medals will be awarded to the top three male and female in each age group. Finisher medals will be distributed to all who complete the race.
As a family-friendly 5k / 10k, strollers and leashed-dogs are allowed. We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.
This will be an open course, meaning roads will not be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations. Both the 5k and 10k course run out and back, with the 10k continuing further into the neighborhood. View the course maps for details.
The race will start in waves this year, to ensure social distancing. All runners / walkers must be off the course by 11:45am.

If you choose to run the virtual race, choose a 5k or 10k course that you enjoy! Virtual runners / walkers are encouraged to start with the first wave of runners at 9am on Saturday 4/17. However, virtual participants can complete their race anytime between March 13 and April 17. Be sure to tag @mealsonwheelsmc on Facebook and Instagram to share you run. What to Bring
You must bring a valid ID or drivers license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the course, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive two free homemade lemonade or root beer.)
B-52 Brewery is a big, mostly outdoor beer garden with trees and picnic tables. However, seating is limited. You’re welcome to bring a few chairs for your group.
There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly
Parking
Upon arrival, please look for the volunteer parking attendants who will be directing traffic. Parking is very limited, please carpool and choose a designated driver. We have secured parking in lots of businesses closed on Saturdays near B-52 Brewery. Please do not park in the shopping center of the businesses that are open. Once onsite lots are full, parking will move to Eagles Nest Ministries down Blake Rd. Two shuttle buses will provide transportation to and from B-52. Please allow an extra 30 minutes to park. Shuttles will operate 8am – 12pm. No dogs or strollers allowed on the buses.
When You Arrive at B-52, If you have already picked up your packet, please proceed to the wristband station with your photo ID. If you do not pick your packet up before the event, please proceed to runner check in to receive your bib, wristband, and runner’s bag.
